Narina Melikyan, DDS

We are pleased to introduce Dr. Narina Melikyan, D.D.S., a compassionate and detail-oriented general dentist dedicated to providing comprehensive, patient-centered dental care. Dr. Melikyan combines strong clinical expertise with a genuine commitment to helping patients achieve optimal oral health in a comfortable, supportive environment.

Educational Background & Training

Dr. Melikyan earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the New York University College of Dentistry in 2020, where she trained extensively in all areas of restorative, preventive, and cosmetic dentistry. During her time at NYU, she participated in the Dr. Watson & Associates Clinic 2CD-B Group Practice, developing advanced clinical and diagnostic skills under the guidance of experienced faculty.

Following dental school, Dr. Melikyan completed a General Practice Residency at Staten Island University Hospital (2020–2021). There, she provided all aspects of dental care — from comprehensive treatment planning and restorative procedures to endodontic therapy, prosthodontics, and oral surgery. She also participated in full-mouth rehabilitation for pediatric and special-needs patients under general anesthesia, gaining valuable hands-on experience in complex clinical cases and multidisciplinary teamwork.

Before entering dental school, Dr. Melikyan earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the City University of New York, Hunter College, which enriched her understanding of patient communication and care.

Professional Experience

Since 2021, Dr. Melikyan has been practicing as an Associate General Dentist at One and Only Dental and Aesthetic Dental, where she provides a full range of services, including restorative dentistry, fixed and removable prosthetics, root canal therapy, surgical and simple extractions, bone grafting, socket preservation, and emergency care.

Community Involvement

Deeply committed to serving her community, Dr. Melikyan has participated in numerous outreach programs such as Part of the Solution and Local Dental Screenings, where she offered preventive and restorative care to underserved populations, including homeless patients. She also contributed to the College and Career Lab Program, mentoring high school and college students interested in dentistry.

Professional Involvement & Skills

Dr. Melikyan is actively involved in professional organizations including the Russian American Dental Association (RADA) and the NYU Aesthetics Society, where she has served as a representative and Director of Public Relations. Her roles have included organizing events, managing communications, and promoting continuing education opportunities for fellow dental professionals.

Fluent in Russian and conversant in Spanish, Dr. Melikyan ensures that language is never a barrier to quality dental care. She is also proficient in Eaglesoft and Dentrix software systems and holds current BLS/ACLS certifications.
